Nestable corrugated steel pipe is composed of two half round segments which are bolted together to form a round pipe. There two standard method to form a round pipe. flanged nestable corrugated steel pipe and overlapped corrugated steel pipe. It suitable for the small diameter pipe and easy to ship to the oversea marktert.
Flanged Nestable Corrugated Steel Pipe (FNCSP) consists of half-round sections of CSP with external side flanges that are easily bolted together to form a circular CSP. Originally developed in the early 1930’s to facilitate overseas shipping, sections can be nested into compact, easy-to-handle bundles allowing for economical transportation for long-haul distances, remote sites, or international destinations.
Flange type nestable corrugated pipe features protruding flange plates with pre-drilled holes for bolting two sections together using galvanized 10mm bolts and nuts. However, riveting type pipe don’t have flanges but have pre-drilled holes at both ends of each semicircular section for easy assembly. This design results in cost saving, especially labor saving. Both these two types of nestable corrugated pipes are galvanized for high durability and corrosion resistant under normal conditions.
Corrugated Metal Pipe Assembly:
The technical data included in this brochure is applicable to flanged type pipe and bolting type pipe both. Revelant data on the other types are available on request. Corrugated metal culvert is made from galvanized steel sheets with corrugations 68mm width by 13mm depth and corrugations 75mm width by 25mm depth. The 68X13mm in 20 corrugations with an effective laying length 1360mm. The sheets in thickness from 1.6~4.2mm. The 75X25mm corrugations, if the sheet thickness is smaller than 3mm, it is in 16 corrugations with an effective laying length 1200mm, if the sheet thickness is bigger than 3mm, it is in 17 corrugations with an effective laying length 1275mm. Field assembley is accomplished by bolting the sections together at the flange with M12X40 galvanized nuts and bolts.
